Smucker exploring sale of Voortman cookies

Smucker acquired Voortman when it bought Hostess Brands in September 2023 for approx. US$5.6 billion. That deal included the sweet baked goods brands of Hostess Donettes, Twinkies, CupCakes, DingDongs, Zingers, CoffeeCakes, HoHos, Mini Muffins and Fruit Pies and the Voortman cookie brand, along with manufacturing facilities in Emporia, Kan.; Burlington, Ont.; Chicago, Ill.; Columbus, Ga.; Indianapolis, Ind.; and Arkadelphia, Ark.; and a distribution facility in Edgerton, Kan.
