Entrepreneurial Equity Partners (E2P) acquires Truss Beverage from Tilray Brands through its portfolio company, Ya Ya Foods.

The acquisition includes Truss Beverage’s 186,000-sf beverage manufacturing facility in Belleville, Ont. The plant, built in 2020, has an annual production capacity of 250,000 hL.

Ya Ya Foods, which specializes in aseptic contract manufacturing of beverages, now operates three production sites in North America. The acquisition allows Ya Ya Foods to expand its capabilities to include canning and glass packaging. In addition to these new options, the company continues to offer aseptic PET, carton, and gable top chilled packaging.

Mark Burgett, partner at E2P, said, “The addition of the Belleville facility further cements Ya Ya’s status as a leader in aseptic beverage manufacturing. We look forward to the growth prospects on the horizon for Ya Ya.”

Yahya Abbas, founder and CEO of Ya YA Foods added, “We are thrilled to add the Truss facility to the Ya YA Foods portfolio.”

Truss Beverage, originally a cannabis drinks venture between Tilray Brands and Molson Coors, was fully acquired by Tilray Brands last year.
